“This is the first solo exhibition I have given since 1976, when as a diploma-wielding graduate of Byam Shaw School of Art in London, I first touted public acclaim with an exhibition of wall sculptures entitled ‘TROPHIES’ at the Africa Centre in Covent Garden. That seems a long time ago now and as well as those few wooden relics, I seem to have tenuously hung on to nearly every other work that I have produced over the years, which at least has enabled me to put together the present show.” P.H.
